So this past Thursday was Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is such a great holiday for two reasons: 1) It's all about food, even if I don't especially like turkey, and 2) It usually means my family gets together for a generally good time. This year's Thanksgiving wasn't that great though because it went back on these two reasons. It was at my aunt's house this year which would be fine if not for the fact that she's a vegetarian. My mom still brought Turkey, but it felt almost sacrilegious to have Thanksgiving in a vegetarian's house. Not that I like turkey - I had baked ziti. But on to today's meals.
Breakfast: I actually had breakfast today because my Dad seems to think that I'll crash and burn his car if we go driving later in the day. Nothing like leftover sponge cake with chocolate chips and a glass of milk though.
Lunch: I'm not sure I had lunch, but I might have had some string cheese before trying to mow the lawn in sub-arctic temperatures.
Dinner: I had the privilege and honor to break bread with the Nesto family this evening. Scrumptious steak, savory stuffing, mouthwateringly mashed palatable potatoes and a can of coke. Followed by brownie a la mode, con caramel and whipped cream. Best home-cooked meal I've had in a long time.
