Utilitarianism

I've spent most of my free time the last few days putting together all the notes necessary to write my Philosophy paper which worth half of my exam grade for Monday. But I wont get into that because I am sure that it would make one's head explode who has not been exposed to it over the last 4 months like I have.

Breakfast:
Is not necessary.

Lunch:
For lunch I went to the Upper Deck because I was quite famished after Chemistry. I met my good friend Cait there and we sat down to a delicious lunch...delicious is french for AWFUL. The grilled cheese was just a cheese sandwich, not cooked well, and the cheese was not melted, minimal butter if any. Crap. Absolute Crap I say! I also had a hamburger which was alright and some french fries which are pretty hard to mess up. It a deep fried potato shaving for god's sake.

Dinner:
So being that I got out of class late, everyone had already gone to dinner and I was on my own, luckily Kevin was nice enough to accompany me to dinner at Lyle. Lucky for me, there were about 9 hundred other people in my hall who had yet to eat, a christmas miracle! Even Ian was there to join our band of merry food-enthusiasts. So off we went, and when I got there guess what was for dinner? UNCOOKED GRILLED CHEESE. ARE YOU KIDDING ME LYLE??? SCREW YOU! I took one bite of this abomination and felt Ill, needless to say I didnt finish my meal. My dinner consisted of a glass of 2% milk. Grilled Cheese is usually so good but once you're spoiled by the good chefs making it (or in my case basically growing up in the Gillies house and occasionally getting a taste of their wonderful grilled cheese) you know what is good, and what is a sorry excuse for.

Utilitarian high five snap! Let's talk some John Stuart Mill.

Not a fan of Mill, I liked Emmanuel Kant and Nietzsche more. Mostly because Nietzsche is a jerk who picks on everyone for their beliefs

We never went over Nietzsche, but we did talk about Kant mostly in how his ideas were at odds with Mill. I preferred Mill over Kant though, the whole Kant bit where the outcome doesn't matter at all if the intention was immoral is what did it. Nobody can be 100% altruistic if you ask me.

I just enjoyed his writings more, He was definitely wrong, any kind of rule utilitarianism makes very little sense to me when act makes so much more sense, you get all the choices and none of the restrictions.
