Bagel Friday

Heloooooooo,
I am back to blogg about my Friday. Apologies for my lateness
Of course it was bagel Friday which really just gets me so very happy that its pathetic that this is all it does take to make my life better.
I had a blueberry bagel with the light cream cheese as if that mattered at all, and some dark majoic coffee from that freaky little coffee maker that they have.
Speaking of cheese.
On a morning show today, they had a segment about REAL cheese in a real cheese shop. I couldnt wait to watch it because deep inside, I know that the cheese we buy at the food store is bland and has no real flavor. Its full of preservatives and fillers but where does one go for a real cheese made the old fashioned way and aged properly. One cheese wheel was wrapped in ash and wax for its flavoring.
I still dont know that answer unless I go to New York. Maybe the reading terminal market. Ill let you know but I am going to try some real cheese.

Back to Friday. At lunch I had to sacrifice my lunch hour to getting a gift for my 82 year old mother since we were taking her out to eat at the Cactus Inn later that night, so I ran around like an idiot and bought her a pair of red pajamas and some chocholate covered pretzels.
Then I drove to the border. yes Taco Bell. and I had a beef crisp wrap, without the tomatos. I had to eat that at work at my desk but no worries.(there are a bunch of New Zealanders that work at my job and there colleagues also call into my job and they really do say "No Worries mate". its not just crocodile Dundee. They also really call each other work colleagues, even the irish girl in client services.

Dinner, was nice. Just the drive alone was awesome because you could see the stars in the sky so vividly, as if they were real! Also, 413 above Newtown is just dotted with old farmhouses which are all beginning to be decorated for Christmas but in a classy colonial way not with jumbo blow up toys. The homes looked.... homey, and you pictured in your mind, people around their fire places sipping brandy not smoking cigarettes and drinking bud light like the tacky folks down our street whose lawn is LITTERED with decor from one end of the plot to the other, including their roof.

I had fish and chips, mate, with some yummy tartar sauce, glass of chardonay. I ordered a salad but I never did get it. I had cheesecake and coffee for dessert.

There was a one man band there named John Penchense singing his heart out so I took his business card because someday I AM going to have a party with live music. I also put 2 bucks in his tip snifter and he thanks me on the microphone, so I was famous for a second! Im going to add him to my list of husbands. He can be the music one, the entertainer. I am someday going to be a polygamist. Each husband with serve a specific purpose. Conan is one as well. Also the landscaper/gardener from this old house, Roger Cook and one of the chefs from the cooking shows, im still deciding which one is most creative. I also need one that ballroom dances.
The drive home was mentioable because the stars were even better! we almost hit a deer and I had Bill drive past the light show at Shady Brook farm which is pretty awsome! I walk out of work everynight and they are right across the street so I thoguht it would be nice to share with the others. We didnt drive through because there was no need.
so that wraps it up folks! Hopefully you will find this interesting.
