who wanted to go to mexico anyway?

i wake up pumped to go to mexico, with my family for 5 days of fun in the sun. i take a quick shower, pack up my remaining things and go downstairs for a quick breakfast.
i pour myself a bowl of cereal and take two bites and then reconsider, there are still many christmas cookies to be had. i indulge in a glass of milk and some chocolate chip cookies. also some reese peanut butter cups. delicious
then we pile into my grandparents van and go to pick them up. we arrive at there condo 30 minutes later and load the car. we drive to the airport park the car, take the shuttle to the airport and go to check our bags. when we get there it is completely empty. i don't initially think that it is weird because my grandmom normally makes us get there super early. then we go to check our bags he looks at our ticket and says," you know your flight was at 9:40" we nod and then glance at our watches/cell phones, it was 9:45. we missed the flight. someone, cough, my grandmother, cough, read somewhere that our flight was at 11. whoops. well lucky for us there was another flight! but that was short lived excitement because that flight was overbooked. we got one seatso we sent m grandpop, who is 71 with parkisons disease alone with 4 huge suitcases to a foreign country. that made us slightly nervous but we thought having him go through security the next day with his trick leg would be really annoying for him. they literally frisk my grandpop everytime we go, he really looks like he'd be bombing things, let me tell you. anyways after hours at the airport we come home.
dinner: at like 4 we had some spaghetti and meatballs
then we check our flight online and surprise it doesnt have our names and when we call the airline we can't get through. so my mom, dad and grandmom drive to the airport to chekc on our flight for tomorrow morning and my brother and i stay home to wait for my grandpop to call. he called he's safe and sound =) and with my aunt, uncle and cousins, probably enjoying a nice vodka. so then im washing the pots from dinner and i drop it on the stove and crack the top of it. wonderful. then i just kind of clean up as much as i could and retired to my room to watch greys anatomy. i figured i couldn't do anything wrong just watching tv.
snack: peanut butter sandwhich
so hopefully tomorrow i will actually go to mexico, and nothing will go wrong. im going to be positive and say tomorrow is a new day.
