Back to Work?

After what was the most hectic break of my college career thus far, I strangely found relaxation waiting for me at college. Easter Break was insane. Come home late Wednesday afternoon, leave for the Lake House Thursday at high noon, leave the Lake House Friday afternoon, go to Grandma Mayer's on Saturday / fulfilling my Onion duties, go to Grandparents Markey on Easter Sunday, and finally, return to school early Monday afternoon.

First day of class back, today, Tuesday the 25th of March, I had Calculus at 8:30 followed by Philosophy at 10. Done for the day before noon? I like it. I called 3FD after Philosophy to see if we were meeting up at Connelly for Lunch, but he said it would have to wait until 12:30. Agahst! In the meantime, I signed up for my advisor meeting time concerning next semester's classes. What kind of advisor puts a sign up sheet outside his door? Aren't they supposed to put something up online or something? Bah, they have technology now, and they rave about it, but they still make you do stuff that deeply constrasts with laziness. Anyway, I hope I don't forget about this meeting, for I have been known to be forgetful in the past. Oops!

Lunch:
As is the case most Tuesdays and Thursdays, I had a fried chicken sandwich smothered in mayonaise with a side of fries. We had quite a cast there today, including Bob, 3FD, Jakob, Rocco, and Jeremy! Who would've thunk it? We also had a celebrity sighting today in Connelly, of none other than the school's president, Father Peter! He's well known in our circle for having said in a homily one service, "How many times in the last week have you said 'I'm better than you!'" He said it in such a theatric and eccentric tone, causing myself and my good pal Vinny to burst out laughing during mass! Good stuff, Father!

I spent much of the afternoon pulling my hair out not over a tough Mathematics problem, a challenging essay, or anything of that sort, but over Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Boss Battles Mode on the Intense difficulty. Good Dole, I was chucking books across my room I was so pissed off at times. I managed to do absolutely nothing the entire day because this had engrossed me so completely. Was this relaxing, though? Not by a long shot. I guess I was lying at the beginning of this post. I think I was close to bursting a blood vessel before 3FD came in at around 4 and wanted to play multiplayer.

Dinner:
The Spit's evening meal was compiled of complete and utter garbage. I don't even know what I had. It was a plate full of wierd meat chunks spread over pasta. I'm usually a carnivore whenever I get the chance, but this just wasn't even remotely good. Vinny and I agreed to fill out those complaint cards that are availible at the front of the Spit. How convenient though, that they fail to provide writing utensils at the place where those complaint cards are. That's their plot all along. If we can't write anything, then nothing must be wrong. Oh dear! Well, I slid both our empty cards through the slot anyway, just so they know that something must be amiss.

After dinner, we all chatted for a bit before parting our seperate ways. As if it were a force created by Dole, I was again lulled into thinking I could beat Intense Boss Battles Mode. I wasted at least another hour or two trying with new characters and new strategies. Nothing was working against that asshole Duon though. Good lord, he is such a pain in the ass. But wait...

Toon Link...

With a little luck, and a lot of dodging, I made it all the way to the final boss, Tabuu using Toon Link. Througout the course of this epic duel, I had to dodge his instant KO red ring attack on two seperate occasions. Each time I pressed down and R, I could feel the adreniline running through my claws. And then... I beat him! And you see kids, with a little motivation, and a lot of anger, you can accomplish anything. The reward? A stupid trophy, but hey, so what? The real award was knowing that I beat the game's hardest challenge. Praise Dole!

Now, let's see if I can apply that same determination to my loads of school work over the course of this upcoming final month of Freshman year.
