Not Very Foodtacular!

I realize that this post is slightly late, but in my defense, this might be my first late post ever! But let's get down to it. I woke up around 10:30, an early rarity for me on weekends these days. It's funny: a few years back, I used to be an 8-9 waker on my own, but now I can barely get up before 11. It's the College Curse, I tell yas.

I decided to make good use of this early morning by quickly showering, getting myself ready, and leaving the dorm before noon with my bookbag intact to do my homework outside. And my Dole, was this a beautiful day. I was even wearing short sleeves! For those of you who don't remember, last year I wore hooded sweatshirts every day up until late May because of the convenience of Kangaroo Pockets and just because I wanted to be stubborn. Well, there was no way I could do that today. I rolled up to one of the fine picnic tables in the mini-forest that's not really a forest at all, sat my books down, and enjoyed myself for about two hours, doing some really annoying Spanish homework that makes no sense. Six more Spanish classes, and I'm done with that lesser language forever! America!

I went back into the dorm at about 2 only to find my hallmates still sleeping. Tsk tsk. Well, I made certain that they were awake soon thereafter, and a few of us ventured to the loathed Spit. The Spit is terrible on weekdays, but it's even worse on weekends. They never have any decent food, unless you like crappy breakfast materials, like cold eggs, or hard sausage (that's not what she said), or shitacular potatoes. It was so dismal that I'm not even going to label anything in this post "Lunch." I found this fried fish looking thing in the corner, and I tried it... just one bite. Then I set it aside, sighed, and pulled from my other side my cup of pepsi. That was the extent of my lunch: soda!

The rest of the afternoon, we sat around, watched the Flyers lose on TV, then watched the Phillies lose on TV. This brought us to after 7, when we decided to go eat again, this time at the Connelly Center on Main Campus. I was so excited and desperate for this meal that I cracked out my Chic-Fil-A Ranch Dressing that I had been saving in my fridge for the past few weeks.

Dinner:
I got myself a side of french fries to go along with my fried chicken sandwich, the latter of which I smothered with that coveted fast food ranch dressing. It was tasty, I'm not gonnna lie, but my meal was cut short when I recieved a phone call from my old pal Rachel, at which point I had to excuse myself from the meal. My friends eventually came out of the eatery to meet me, and at that point I knew they threw out the remains of my meal. Bastards!

After my fellow McGuirans disposed of my meal and my phone call ended, we headed back toward South Campus for some good ol' Lost Season 2 on DVD. This semester alone we've watched all of Season 1, and now there were just two episodes left for the second season. It was so satisfying to make new Lost fans out of my formerly incomplete buddies. On the way back to south, we encountered a drunken Jon Mayer at the Lancaster intersection. He had a rugby game today, so it was no surprise that he indulged a little. He was walking around giving directions to Taxi drivers in the middle of the street. Dutiful and absent, all at the same time. What a guy!

So anyway, Jeremy was back at the dorm watching Naruto, and all of us were terrible excited about this in the most mocking of tones. Jeremy watched two seconds of Naruto with us in the room before he was fed up with our remarks and laughter. It was at that point that Lost began. We finished up Season Two and it was just as awesome as I remeber it. Just one more season to bridge the gap.

After that, we all convened in my room for some old fashioned Brawlin.' I battled back from down 3 to one life in a one on one against Jeremy with Peach to win. It was epic. Unfortunatley, the match was about three minutes long, so we couldn't save it. Ughh.

So yea, I went to sleep after this, since I was tired, and that's why there was no post at 2 in the morning. I hope this "noon the next day" post is satisfactory. Shwing!
