My Penndel Trek

Alas, today was a day of continual walking.

I walked to work this morning. I walked to class. I walked to math help. I walked to Kelli Delli. I walked to the dorm. I packed and then walked to lab.

Let me interject and tell you about chem lab; it BLOWS. My instructor dislikes me for some reason; whenever we hand in data sheets, she always has a problem with mine even though my lab group has the same thing as me. It irritates me to no end. I hate her lilting voice; she ends all of her sentences with a higher tone that she started with. But I digress.

I then RAN to 30th to catch the last train during peak. I had about 5 minutes to get there and managed to dash onto the train (no time for the ticket line!).

I sat on the train and tried to call my mother to tell her to pick me up from the train station but the line was busy all the way there. Tried calling my sister on her cell to tell her to stop tying up the phone and tell mom to pick me up, but she said she wasn't talking to her. Massive irritation on my part.

So I pulled up at Langhorne and figured "What the hell, I'll walk." Let me tell you that walking in the suburbs is WAY worse than walking in the city. At least the city has crosswalks and controlled speed driving. In the suburbs everyone drives super, speedy fast in their SUV's, turning corners like they are in a high speed car chase.

It was rainy and dark and I was wearing dark clothes, so I was a little concerned about getting run over, but I figured hey, if it happens, maybe I will get an extension on my midterms. So I foraged ahead, thirsty and tired, carrying my calculus book, biology book, my Mac, and a few other binders in my backpack.

It was a long trek, with much splashing through puddles and marshy grass. Needless to say, I was very grateful for my Target cherry rain boots.

Got home thankfully in one piece and surprised my mother by opening the door. I was surprised to find out that she wasn't on the phone after all. Turns out our phones weren't working and no one knew about it. Thank goodness I decided on a stiff march home, otherwise I would still be waiting at the train station...which can be a pretty shady place to be.

That's all I have to say. besides that I took a long hot shower and need a backrub.

Breakfast: Banana
Lunch: grilled cheese sandwich
Dinner: to be determined
