Yikes!

I have sensed some tension here on the blog these past couple of days, but this should be a time of joy and celebration for the Food Blog, which witnessed its 200th post just the other night. I tell you what, when BFD and I created the Food Blog concept, I certainly didn't expect it to make it this far. Maybe a week or two, and then we would get bored (because we're ADD Onions, of course). But wow, the staff has increased to eight members, four men and (wow, really?) four women (3 to 5, if you count Ian on the other side), and we've posted, for the most part, on a consistent basis. To get that sort of cooperation from that many people for such a seemingly trivial idea is uncanny. So in order to diminish this tension and really bring out the joyous smiles in all of us, I have decided to post something a little special here tonight. I hope you all enjoy.

And now that we're all happy again, I'll talk about the fruits of my day.

I woke up at 10:30 and grabbed had some lunch before I went to my driving lesson at 1.

Lunch:
We went to Macoroni Grill for my sister's birthday last night and we had plenty of leftovers. I had some reheated chicken covered with melted cheese, sitting on a pile of spaghetti. It was tasty.

After my quick lunch, my mother escorted me to New Jersey, where I have my driving lessons. When I read Dan's post last night and saw the lookalike of his instructor, I said to myself "Woah!" My instructor might look exactly like Angela Lansbury in thirty years, with her short hair and determined eyes. Yes, so she made me drive on the highway again, where I drove like an old lady, being very timid when merging into traffic and crossing over into other lanes. But in Princeton, where we eventually arrived, I felt right at home. As some may recall, we Onions crashed the party at Princeton last February, where we showed those stuck up dweebs who the tough guys were! Yea, so Thursday is my last lesson with her, and she'll then write a prescription for my much needed hand controls. And once I get hand controls installed in my pop's car, it's only a matter of time before I'm ready to get my liscence.

I got back from driving and vegged out at my house before my father and I journeyed into the heart of Philadelphia to see our beloved Phillies bully the Rockies once again.

Dinner:
I had two hot dogs, french fries, two Cokes, and a bowl of graham cracker flavored ice cream. God, I love baseball.

And again, congratulations to all bloggers for reaching this esteemed milestone!

...so since I was there when you showed up those dweebs, does that make me an onion?

macoroni grill = love...it's rather ironic that susie likes it too =)

hahaha one time when my instructor took me to merge on the highway, I almost got nailed by a truck. I still maintain that I have no idea where it came from.
