This morning began like most of my college days: woke up, showered, dressed, then logged on the innerweb. It being Labor Day, there weren't any classes, which was nice. But other than that, it didn't look as if this day would be anything special. And from a food perspective, it really wasn't. However, one gaming site caught my attention with the announcement of the release of the classic SNES title, Super Mario RPG, on the Wii's Virtual Console. I promptly connected to the shop channel and downloaded it. What a gem.
And that was the most exciting part of my day, unfortunately. About an hour after I started a file in SMRPG, a few of us in the hall went to --
Lunch:
To my dread, the only eatery open was the Pit. And nobody with decent taste likes the Pit. I had this really crappy fried chicken strip that didn't taste anything like chicken. A bright spot, though, was the special ice cream stand they had set up, I guess as a Labor Day treat. It wasn't soft serve. No, it was real life ice cream. So I placed a scoop of vanilla in a cone and chowed down.
My afternoon consisted of numerous boring activities. I read boring text for the boring subject, "Philosophy of Law." Then I watched a dreadfully boring Phillies game in which we got thumped by the lowly Washington Nationals.
Then I think I played more Mario RPG...
Dinner:
We wanted no part in the horrendous offerings of the Pit again, so we ordered a pizza from Campus Corner. It was good, but the difference between eating it there and having it delivered is like night and day. Still good, just not great.
And since this will, in all probability, be my last post before the one year anniversary of the blog, let me offer my thanks to every contributor and reader out there. It's sort of crazy to think our collective ADD didn't let this die a long time ago. But hey, we're still here, and Bob Dole is still alive and thriving, so go ahead and indulge in celebration! Cheerio!

Wow! You've been to Campus Corner, Mer? And you didn't like it?! Compared to most of Villanova's food, it's like heaven!
