I'm taking a break from the take-home portion of my Philosophy of Law midterm at the moment to bring to you the wonders of my food-filled day. You know, this whole Philosophy of Law thing is funny. I think to myself, "Why am I in this class?" pretty much every time I sit down and open the assigned books. The first day of class, Professor McCarthey asked for a show of hands of who was thinking of going to law school. I think everyone raised their hand but me. Thanks, but no thanks. I went into this class with the intention of getting my upper-level Philosophy requirment out of the way. Why couldn't it have been, you know, a philosophy class instead of a law class? The former was pretty interesting, I thought. Oh well, that's what happens when you get the last possible class selection time slot (yes, I'm still slightly bitter over that). I guess the basic foundations of our legal system aren't a terrible thing to know either, so maybe it's a blessing.
Lunch:
Tray-Beard (3FD) and I went to CEER, where I got a chicken Caesar Salad, a cookie, and a Pepsi.
During the afternoon, I studied for the objective portion of the Philosophy of Law midterm, which is in class tomorrow. Kind of a boring day.
Dinner:
The gang and I traveled to Connelly, where I got a Tuna fish sub. Pretty good.
Smores:
Not long after dinner, the residence hall of Fedigan held a Smore party on the lawn outside. Our RA called it a "community building experience," but I don't buy it. It was pretty much my usual friends with a few others, so not much community needed to be constructed. Actually, all the construction effort went into making the blasted smores. It's a real mess, melting those marshmellows. And don't get me started on the graham crackers! They're too rigid to be effectively utilized as the "bread" of the "sandwich." What a mess! Then Vinny stole the rest of the marshmellows.
PS: I'm coming home on Friday, early afternoon, so I expect multiple diner visits during the week I'm home. Also, homecoming is this Saturday, if anyone is interested. Dr. Hensel will be there!
