This morning I seemingly woke at the break of dawn...well not really to catch the train back into Philly.
The best part of riding the train into Philly, is watching the skyline come in closer and closer, until I can't see it because I'm already a part of it. The second best part is watching all the people on the train. The WORST is seeing someone you know and even MORE WORSE is seeing someone you know and despise, so that you have to pretend not to see them at all.
I think I'm finally acclamated with the whole train business. I can keep my balance now, know most of the stops, and am irritated by newcomers who don't know anything or break the no-talking loudly rule.
So today I hunted. I hunted down my professors and checked all my grades. Because I have discovered that Drexel is determined to screw me over! So after hunting those elusive fellows (the only profs I had that were on time were Asian...take that as you may).
After which, I took my sister to go see Twilight. This being my third viewing, I knew all the right parts to hoot and holler at. Since the theater was empty when we got there, I was all eager to talk throughout the entire movie. However 2 chicks walked in during the previews and 2 more walked in right before the movies started. It was like a half-assed Noah's ark. Despite the smaller audience, I still "ow ow owed" at what I deemed appropriate moments. My sister was quite embarrassed. It was awesome.
Then it was time for MCAT class. Let me tell you: MCAT blows. B-L-O-W-S! Luckily, I have a rather excellent MCAT teacher who knows when I haven't done the reading and have no idea what the hell he's talking about. Thus, he doesn't call on me. He saves all the easy ones for me :D As in "Anna, please read question 1" or even "the answer can't have any acid, or any double bonds, or any halides, then a, b, and d are elminated. So, Anna, what will the answer be?"
It stings sometimes, that I don't know what's what, when I used to be game about shit like this. But no more...well, as long as I pass eventually right?
Came home where I ordered pizza and watched airforce one. Indiana Jones as President? Now there's a winning ticket! I've watched this movie since I was 8. And it never fails, the constant adrenaline rush of being the best President with the worst luck ever. Can you imagine Pres. Bush kicking ass like that? DOUBT IT!
Afterwards, I watched "Diary of a Mad Black Woman." I first saw this movie on the plane to India. I really liked how different it was from all the films I've seen. There's a strong religious element and its a bit idealistic, but there are scenes in it that I relate pretty strongly to. Oh, and that Orlando guy is maadd hot.
I'm actually just finishing watching it due to the fire alarm that went off at 2:15. Hooray for loud alarms in the middle of movies early in the morning with icy freezing rain on a fire escape near the train tracks where the R1 passes by every half hour!
Breakfast: Tea and a sole biscuit
Lunch: #2 on Taco Bell's Meal Menu: 3 Supreme Tacos (although I didn't eat all 3 right then)
Tea: Tea and cinnamon raisin toast
Dinner: Philly cheese steak pizza (awesomeness)

Your indian?
lol
i'm pretty much the indian lane kim...
i don't think we've ever really chatted, but i just realized how much in common we have:
i love the train for those exact same reasons and hate seeing people that i need to avoid... dan and i avoided someone on the train platform for like 25 minutes but he caught us on the train. who did you see? i also love taco bell and cheesesteaks.. but who doesn't i guess. and i have also been in a fire drill at really horrible times. i felt like your day could have been mine...
also side note.. i'm in an ethnicity class, that tries to teach me to be tolerant, but i read the book and it just has such a funny hint of stereotypes, like the asians on time... i read the other day and i quote "Hispanics generally have a mor casual attitude toward time than do others in the US, and they hold a negative attitude towards rushing, believing it robs one of dignity."
