HAPPY NEW YEAR BLOGGERS!

Happy New Year to you all. I'm sorry I started the New year out by missing my day but, sorry means nothing when you do the same thing again anyway. Don't accept my apology.
I'm happy to say that I had a great 2008. I work in a great place and that trickles down into everything else in my life. I have been off of work since Dec 23rd and it's been like a vacation I've been sleeping until 10 some days, like today.

I have no resolutions that I care to make public(that way if I fail,no one knows but moi!)

My only resolution would be to live life to it's fullest and enjoy everything that I can an you all should too.

So today I woke up at 6 and sometimes I swear to GOD about this, I wake to the phantom smells of coffee and breakfast cooking when it really isn't in my house.

I do wonder if sometimes I catch the whiffs of smells wafting from the diner. We are so close after all and those vents come out the top of the building over there. Diners are so warm and cozy in the AM with hot coffee and al sorts of breakfasts.
So this morning I smelled fried eggs and coffee. I went back to sleep and woke at ten to real coffee in my house and then we made eggs with rye toast.

It's only 2 p.m. and I have done nothing really other than surf the web and drink tea. I took a picture of my pugs wrapped as babushkas in their bed at my feet with my new camera. The internet is going to be in trouble. I can also make films with this camera.

We also received one f those old time looking record players/CD players/cassete players/radios! it's just awesome because now those spanish tapes that I bought on EBAY will acutally get used!(I didn't think about that part when I bought the tapes. No wonder they were so cheap!

New Years eve, I went a little nutty on Amazon and bought sound track music to two movies. One is "A Secret Garden" and then when I found out the composer was the same composer for the foreign film "3 Shades of Blue' I bought that too! Then I bought the actual movie. It was a great shopping night and I recycled by purchasing all used products.

The heater is being repaired so my feet are like ice cubes right now. I may have to go to Barnes and Noble and use my gift card in times like these.

That, or I have had the notion of checking out that used book store.

I made white chicken chili the other night and I think that is what we will have for dinner this evening as well. It was really yummy.
We are planning at trip to IKEA this evening as well. There are many things to look at there. I did a precheck online today to get a better idea about what I might want to get there. i was thinking of closet organizing things but then I saw a print of Amsterdam and I got the Amsterdam itch again. Which then led me to the Amsterdam song by Per Bjorn and John.
This is the mind of someone with ADD. One things just leads to the next or maybe thats normal.
