My day started around 9 A.M. I woke up and decided to watch some TV. I flipped to VH1 Classic and watched music videos for a little while until my phone began to vibrate across the end table behind me. Mer sent me a text and after some chatting she came over just before she had to go to work at 4. She made it to my house around one and we hung around and watched some more TV. Then something incredible happened.
Now as we all know, or most of us anyway, my dog is a jerk. She may be tiny, and she may be cute, but she can be quite the bitch. And Mer will agree with this passionately. Every time Mer comes over, my dog will bark at her the entire time. Today was no real exception, she barked when Mer came in and while we sat on the couch, but then it happened. She stopped barking, and not only that but she hopped up on the couch and sat down on Mer's stomach, and then she curled up and sat quietly with us as we watched TV. It was like a miracle of some sort, we were both so startled by it we didn't know what to think! She was so amazed that my dog was being nice, that we took a picture of the event and it is now saved on Mer's phone for anyone interested in seeing it.
At 3:10 Mer left to run some errands before work and I decided I would finish beating the game I rented the other night (CALL OF DUTY: WORLD AT WAR) before reading some Wuthering Heights. Now I did manage to beat Call of Duty, and it was awesome as always, but then something even cooler appeared in the game. A mini game! and not just any mini game...A ZOMBIE SURVIVAL MINI GAME! The Resident Evil fan in me shrieked with the excitement of a pre-teen girl. The game itself is called Nazi Zombies, in which you are trapped in a building and wave after wave of undead nazi's come storming in to get you. Every time you shoot a zombie, you get a certain amount of points and then with those points you can buy ammo or new weapons throughout the building, and unlock new areas. I don't know if you can actually beat the level but it was actually kind of scary and exciting. Every time you unlock a new area that just opens up more places for zombies to crawl in from. But it was really fun! I loved it and made it 8 rounds once I found the shotgun. Anything with zombies in it makes me swoon like the nerd I am.
After much zombie killing it was late into the day, so I showered and read a little before Mer came over again. She came back after working at Hallmark for a bit and we went out to eat our second dinners at nifty fifties. It was delicious.
Lastly, I've been fighting off a cold most of this week, so once Mer left around midnight, I headed over to Rite Aid and picked up some Nyquil. I took the dose and hopefully by tomorrow I will be cold free since I am all hopped up on cold medicine as I write. Maybe it will improve my writing skills. Who knows?
Breakfast: Nothing.
Lunch: Two Peanut butter and jelly sammiches.
Dinner: Sushi.
Second Dinner: Bacon cheeseburger, cheese fries, and a strawberry milkshake.
