The blog is not dead. I will not let it die, I will resuscitate it until I can resuscitate no more. Today was a pretty good day. I woke up around nine, and sat in bed for some time, feeling like I was forgetting to do something. Classes at Bucks just ended and yet today I was overwhelmed with the feeling that I had not turned something in yet, or that something was just amiss. Who knows, but I spent a good hour just pondering why I had this terrible sinking feeling in my gut. I hope not one else had this feeling, it's officially summer time for us after all, and we should be enjoying it, not spending our time worrying that there is much to be done and not enough time to do it!
After my worrying had ceased, I got up from my bed and headed to my bookcase. I scanned the books until I came across the one I wanted. The most intimidating one on the shelf, as a matter of fact. War and Peace, by Leo Tolstoy.
From the beginning of the semester, me and my English comp teacher have been discussing great works of literature, all sorts of crazy books that we have both read. She was impressed that I knew most of the obscure pieces of literature she had talked to the class about. On my last day at school, I had gone to her office to talk with her about my final grade and she attempted to find me a copy of this book called, Wide Sargasso Sea, which is supposed to be like a prequel to Jane Eyre. She had three copys of the book in her office, but had written notes in all of them for one of her Lit classes. I wish I could take more classes with this lady. Anyway, after offering me three copys of the book, she said I should pick one up without all her scribbles in it. I agreed that I would and then brought up a competition we had settled on at the beginning of the year. We had both talked about how we wanted to read War and Peace, but didn't see how it would be possible during school, so the challenege: Whoever can finish War and Peace first, is the winner, and therefore, I suppose, the most awesome. I started reading today, with a vengeance, but only made it to chapter three. The first hundred pages are apparently a test of endurance, but once you break on through those, you're golden. So I've already started, and am anxiously awaiting to see who can finish first. I'm pretty sure that I will lose, but you can't stop me from trying!
After I had read for awhile I watched repeats of last night's Daily Show and Colbert Report, because that's where I get my news. Had some laughs, and had some lunch.
Lunch: Two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I was too lazy to really cook anything.
Finished Colbert, and watched some Futurama, and then caught up on the season finale of House online. Damn man, that show never disappoints, though I did find myself going "What?...What?!...WHAT!??1?!" a lot at this finale. It was good though.
After that I went to take out money and caught the end of the Phillies game on TV. Mer was lucky enough to have actually gone, and I was quite jealous.
After the game ended I sped off to work, which flew by pretty quickly. No real annoying customers today, and I heard George Thorogood on the radio too on my way, so that put me in a good mood.
After work, as I always do on Thursday nights now, I headed over to the BFD with some work friends and we enjoyed the rain and some Eric Clapton while we had our "dinners"
Dinner: Chicken Cheesesteak. It was so good, and a nice change of pace from the regular cheesesteak. They apparently had a new cook, who couldn't read. That made me laugh when the waitress told me that.
A little past 11 it was time to head out. We all said our goodbyes and I headed home. When I arrived I sat in my car for another moment or two to watch the rain and lightning. It was pretty intense, though it sounds like it has died down at the moment. My dog (who is lying right next to me) is no longer breathing heavily and shaking like a leaf.
That's all for me today folks, hope you enjoyed it, and hope you enjoyed your own delicious meals this fine evening.

House was INCREDIBLE, but extremely confusing, and there were a lot of unanswered questions.
I noticed how you conveniently left out how depressing the end of that Phillies game was. I was pounding with my fist the glass table in front of me, which as you can imagine, was not a very good idea.
Also! I saw your mother and sister at the wonderful Neshaminy Top 5% celebration yesterday! But... not you??? I supported my sister, and I expect you to do the same. Tsk tsk.
I think the blog is dead.
