For as long as I've had laptops, I've always been confronted with the question as to how to transport it from room to room or area to area. You see, when I walk, I need my hand waving around to help my balance. That means I can't hold my laptop to my chest if I'm carrying it because then it's likely I would fall over backwards. So that means I often must dangle it with one hand to the side, which presents its own set of questions. How can I stop it from slipping from my hand? I have learned to get better grips on the laptop, but they certainly are not sufficient for long (relative) distances. And you can throw all of that out the window when I'm going up stairs because I need both my hands in order to climb each step.
So a few days ago, I grabbed my trusty old backpack that I've used since early high school, and I brought it down to my laptop station in the living room. Now, whenever I transport my laptop, I can just put it in there, sling it over my shoulder, and go wherever I want. Now mind you, this isn't really that innovative an idea in the least, using a backpack to carry things instead of using your hands, but for some reason it's taken me this long to think of it. And there's your semi-annual insight into the mind of a certified handicapped citizen.
And I have nothing more to say at this time.
Lunch:
Pizza. My sister had an End-of-School bash at our house, and we ordered six pies. Yum.
Dinner:
French Onion Soup. Followed by a healthy dose of D&D.
