Falling Back

Falling back.
When are we doing it? "I guess I didn't get the memo" perhaps I was wearing kicks (private joke for Anna Mathews and Mer, I think they will get this because they are chicks) I hear the falling back date was pushed back to Nov 6th. Thank God for facebook, that is where I heard this.
So this blogg is pointless this time around, I have no specific subject so I will simply focus on food.
Morning , special K cereal, yogurt. Love this new yogurt it has these wonderful specks of vanilla in it and you can crunch on them.
For lunch I had two pieces of wheat bread with melted lorraine cheese on them and a spoonful of tuna.(that was all that was left from the can that I had made two days before.) Popcorn was used as a supplement around 4 PM.

Dinner time: I was blocked into the right lane at rush hour so that made my decision to pop into Aldi and grab taco stuff. The husband bought the taco kit but forgets all the stuff you buy to actual create real tacos, sour cream, refried beans, cheese, onion, olives. I also grabbed two boxes of my new favorite cereal. It was an uneventful trip which isn't always the case in that store. By the time I was leaving Aldi, the huge traffic jam outside my section had reduced greatly and I was able to get across the road to my section
Came home to Dan B in my house. Have not seen him in so long. I filled him in on the new name ideas I have for him.
D Ben or D Bay. take a vote.
After tacos, we watched "Jaime at Home" cook things from his garden, like sorrel and turnips. And then my favorite new cooking show, "Chucks Day Off."
Chuck is an interesting fellow who has a restaurant in Montreal and every episode, he cooks for someone such as his bread man, his beer provider..... once it was his rag man another time it was his knife rental man...on his day off, Sunday.
Last night it was his sheep farmer and his wife. They have an orchard as well so he made them dinner using their sheep products and apples from their orchard and we got a trip to the farm out of it.
They were a lovely couple who lived in the outskirts of the city and they had heavy french accents. The sheep were darling except for the tags in their ears. Chuck made stuffed fried zucchini flowers, stuffed with fresh sheep ricotta he made. Apple turnovers for dessert.
I LOVE this show. We thought we would move to Montreal and meet him and offer him a mural and then we could be his artists and he could base a show around cooking for us one night. Wonder what he would make for us......

I call him Dan Ben in casual conversation. But now I call him "that bastard!" because I was in Langhorne on Friday too!! JERK!! I haven't seen you in foreverr!

If you go to Montreal to become the chef's artist, can I come too as your adopted daughter? Or your muse?

Mrs. G, I have been trying to find a way to watch that show without cable for the past few days to no avail whatsoever. It sounds pretty cool! Can you tape it for me on a VHS?

Try you tube. I don't know how to tape . (Honetsly, I can barely use my remote control). Chuck Hughes is his name. The show is Chucks Day off. He is adorable, in a boyish charming way. you just want to hug him even thought he is usually holding a knife
