Does Reality Exist?

Alas, I have missed my Friday night post by an hour. You must all excuse me for this, for I was busy having my mind thoroughly messed up. Yes, that's right. The intensity of many physiological concepts is more than most human beings are able to grasp, but that in itself may even be a fabricated myth formed by the ever tightening restraints of the egotistical human mind upon itself. Perhaps it is not the lack of comprehension which leads to your ignorance, but rather the unwillingness of your brain to allow you to understand the concepts at hand. Yes, it is a somewhat disturbing thought. That is of course the concept of having something else...a machine, a pilot, a brain...in control of not only your body, but also your soul. Maybe a brain is not a safehouse for your mind, but rather a prison. The walls of which tighten their hold more and more with each passing day. But the concept of being able to think and hold memories is uncertain in itself. What is a memory, what is a thought? While we would like to think we can give the definition of these common terms, it is in fact far more difficult than we know it to be. Maybe we are not who we think we are. Maybe there is no such thing as a soul...no such thing as a mind. We are but an animal. We are here to live and die. Our thoughts are nothing more than chemical imbalances stored in our brains, and will disappear along with all other knowledge of our existence once our bodies pass away...

...and that being said, you mine as well eat as extravagantly as you possibly can while you still have the chance!

Breakfast: Unfortunately, I did not have time to grab breakfast today. Well, maybe not so much lack of time as lack of initiative, but you all get the point. So instead, I'll use this space to explain my sudden dive into the psychological world! Well you see, not one hour ago, I watched an anime movie that absolutely blew my mind. While I'd love to divulge in the details of it, I'm not exactly sure of what I saw! Concepts so deep, so crazy, that it made my brain melt for about a half hour. Fortunately, Fat Dan managed to snap me back into it, and here I am rock you like a hurricane!

Lunch: Moving on! Shortly after Chemistry class, I needed something to get my mind off of how incredibly evil the tempering of chemicals and elements is. And what better to do that than food? So naturally, when my Chemistry associate New Bill proposed we head to lunch like the scientists we are, I agreed whole heartedly. We headed down to the upper deck discussing things such as when we wanted to see the new Resident Evil movie. For lunch, I quickly scoffed down a large piece of pizza, and an equally big salad. At the salad bar today, they had a new mixture of lettuce leaves which was certainly more interesting than the ordinary selection. So after eating lunch, I headed off to Wellness class...the last class before the weekend!

Dinner: Ah! Dinner! Fortune shined upon me for this meal, as today was the Oriental Rice Bar! Now, for those of you who are unfamiliar with such a meal (which I presume to be all of you), I will elaborate. In the rice bar, you are given a cup. Not two cups. Not three. One single cup. You then take this cup past a series of ingredients. Chicken, shrimp, onions, peppers, carrots...all kinds of things. The goal at this part of the rice bar is to cram your cup full of whatever your heart fancies! And if you put in everything that you want, and your cup isn't full...well, then you keep going! You fill that cup to the brim! Now, I'm normally not much a vegetable eater...but in the college world, it's eat or be eaten, so I filled that cup as much as I could with carrots, those little hollow green things, that crazy stringy cabbage stuff, and other assorted things I could find in the bar. After your cup is ready, you give it to the cook, who proceeds to throw all the ingredients into a large pan with garlic and what not. He adds a few spoonfulls of rice, and cooks it up right there in front of you! In a matter of minutes, voila! You have the best food you'll ever get at Millersville University! I live for rice bar day!

Late Night: Unfortunately, they don't have a Late Night on Friday, so Jesse and I had to settle for "early night" in which we just used our extra meal plan on a second dinner. I grabbed a few things of milk to bring back and put in my fridge, along with a bag of chips. All in all, a good food day. Shortly after that however, we began to watch that movie, and my mind has been left questioning existence ever since.

...

...or has it?
