Oops, almost forgot to write a post tonight. My bad. Today's been a crazy day in that in between watching Transformers (twice) and Being John Malkovich (once) I spent all day researching video games for a paper I have to write by Tuesday. I know I know, researching video games sounds awesome, but not when the all the research does is make you want to play the game...
Brunch: On weekends here at college there is no breakfast (nor lunch) but brunch. Brunch is always the same and I always have the same thing. Biscuits, overly-scrambled eggs, sausage links, an attempt at a Belgian waffle, all with a half-coffee half-hot chocolate concoction that is guaranteed to wake up even an elephant after a heavy night of partying...I don't mean that I'm an elephant...or that I party like an elephant...just that it's an awesome drink.
Dinner: The funny thing about dinner at college is that it's paid for through a meal plan. My meal plan is an average of 2 meals per day (perhaps another reason for my distaste for breakfast lately) but many people have been running short lately. Since I'm (NOT) Fat Dan, I'm understandably concerned that I might be running out of meals. So tonight when I went to the dining hall for dinner a friend had no meals left so I offered him one of mine. But then the Asian lady at the counter told me I only had 3 meals left! (All the while holding up 3 fingers.) Needless to say I freaked out and decided to get Chinese food at the mall instead. I'm pretty sure the lady meant 30 meals, but I had no way of knowing for sure since she didn't have 30 fingers and so it could've been a mistake or maybe not... So I had a not so great mix of bourbon chicken and General Tsao's ordered through yet another Asian from whom few words I understood. I wonder if she was saying, "Are you sure you want that? It was made by a dyslexic Panda we have chained up in the back." I guess I'll never know.
