Today, friends, foes and the undecided, marks the blog's 100th post! How did this day, this post, come to be? Hell if I know, but in my research for the answers, I came upon many strange, and, frankly, frightening coincidences. Please keep all arms, legs, and other limbs that probably should have been removed at birth inside the vehicle -- it's going to be a bumpy ride.

100th post. That's all I had to start with. Powerful words, yes, but not very helpful. Then I realized that 100 days ago was October 2nd, 2007. And everyone knows what that day is on the Gregorian Calendar, the most ____ of all the calendars. 10/2, it turns out, is the 275th day of the aforementioned calendar. And today's date on the Gregorian Calendar? January 10th is the 10th day (who'd a thunk?). 275 plus the number of posts on the blog, minus 10 equals what else but 365! Coincidence? It's TOO coincidental to be a mere coincidence. 365 days from now we will be different people, some of us hopefully with moustaches, some of us possibly dead -- life is but a constant struggle between facial hair and death after all. The point of 365 is the unknown. Who the hell knows?

But the rabbit hole goes deeper. Ten is one tenth of one hundred and one is one tenth of ten. One day ago, where was I? OH YEAH, yesterday I was on an adventure, a quest who's only goal was to survive the night. It started out with a beautiful 65 degree January day. I was bored so I figured why not get the gang together. I came up with some premise or other about movie-making and we were off! Except not really. Half a wasted day later, we were really off this time! We ventured over to Target to get Pizza Hut. That was our first dinner.

After getting Jake, losing Nick, and losing Jake, we strolled on over to Borders in the hopes of...nothing really. Oh yeah, Ian carried the burden of about 15 books, stacked one on top of the other, throughout the whole day. Then we turned down two separate opportunities for rides home. We ended up forming a caravan menagerie and fording the mighty waters of Lincoln Highway, books and all. And where better to celebrate our lives than at TGI Fridays! For the second dinner of the evening, Ian and I shared potato skins, a fine meal and the best thing to come out of Ireland since Conan O'Brien. After nearly getting our good one-time friend Kieth fired, we were stranded. "What now?" we asked ourselves. Who the hell knew!

And so it comes around full circle: the Unknown. Who knows? Nobody knows who knows, but there's gotta be someone out there who is Who...

I think that's enough bullshitting for one night, don't you?

Happy 100th, dear blog of ours.
