Pretty much every day in my schedule other than Monday kicks ass. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I'm done with class at 11:15AM. On Wednesdays and Fridays, my first class isn't until 12:30. I'm really getting the best of both worlds here. Well, today was Thursday, meaning it was one of my early starts. As I'm leaving for my 8:30 class, I shut my room door on my way out and realize that I forgot my key! Locked out already? From that point forward, I knew it was destined to be an interesting day.
In the middle of Calculus, my first class, I remembered that if I didn't have my key, then I didn't have my Wildcard. If I didn't have my Wildcard, then I don't have access to the elevators. Next class: Philosophy on the fourth floor of the oldest building on campus. Damnit...
Well, I can safely say that I wrecked the infamous Tolentine staircase. Get down, staircase (or maybe up, har har har). Nonetheless, I had several heartattacks by the time I reached the classroom. Even worse was going back down, as the staircase was much more congested, and I lost my sense of location in relation to the ground floor. I was bewildered. I lived, though.
Upon my return, I checked the RA's room to see if he could open my room, but unfortunately, he wasn't there. I parked my scooter in the middle of the hallway, walked into the bathroom, and had a nice philosophical discussion with Bob and Aman near the stalls for a good half hour. Soon thereafter, we went over to the Spit, where I had to be guest-swiped in.
Lunch:
Chicken Parm and a Caesar Salad. I was surprised at the quality of the Parm, seeing as it was in the leftover section, but I guess even if it is a few days old, it's still better than their fresh out of the oven pizza (ugh).
Afterwards, I went back to Bob's room where we impulsively decided to watch Star Wars Episode III. Awesome movie. After completion, I checked for the RA again... success! At about 3:30, I finally reentered my room. Homework time... but wait! It's snowing! Incredible. I couldn't focus on homework, as hard as I tried, until after dinner.
Dinner:
Salmon and mashed tatters. Tatters were pretty crappy, but the salmon was surprisingly good. "This is the best meal ever at the Spit," Vinny proclaimed (albeit in error).
After dinner, I did a little homework, but the mood for Smash Bros. stirred in the hall and overtook the scene. Smash is always a party. Eventually, I got back to business in the lounge, while listening to the Sweeney Todd soundtrack (it was blaring). Some hours later, a bunch of us impulsively decided to watch Star Wars Episode I. What the hell kind of viewing order is this?
At around 12:30 (twelve hours away from my next classs!), Qui Gon is dead, as is Darth Maul, and Anakin is still good in some wierd, twisted time continuum. I came back to my room and had...
Late Night Snack:
I bought these really crappy looking microwavable mini cheeseburgers at the Sparket yesterday, and I was hungry now... They didn't disappoint my expectations. They tasted like kidney stones. Oh well. Happy Friday everyone (and listen to my show at 5:30 tonight... PLUG PLUG PLUG).
