New Year? What's New?

So it's a new year, but what's new? New Year's is as good an excuse as any to have a good time, sure. But nothing is different except now it's going to take me another six months to get used to writing o8 instead of 07. Screw resolutions. Speaking of resolutions, if I can't play the ukulele somewhat proficiently in a couple months, shoot me in the foot. I bought that thing on a whim back in November and I've barely picked it up. Turns out it's not as close to Guitar Hero as I'd thought.

New Year's! Everyone just so happened to meet at the Gillies household to watch some good old Dr. Phil ("I'll tell you what you need to do. You need to stop it. How do you stop it? YOU JUST STOP IT!") Then we all went to the trusty Blue Fountain Diner to welcome in 2008. Eventually we ended up at Nesto's house, after saving Meredith's life on the side of the road of course, and managed to eat up about five hours by playing Nintendo Monopoly. The two Dans came together to form a Mega Dan that came back to pwn Nesto just as the end was drawing near. Good times, that is, good until I found myself locked outside of my house at six in the morning. But no worries, Ian stepped up and offered his abode for my sleeping purposes. We started watching Amelie until I fell asleep. Little does Ian know, tomorrow morning before work I'm coming over to finish that movie. Speaking of that, my parents are going to Cancun tomorrow so I'm inviting the entire internet over my house for a 5-day long party. If I'm not home (believe it or not, George isn't at home), the key's under the turquoise gnome, let yourself in. Don't go for the blue-green gnome, or the teal gnome either, the keys under those are made of poison.

Professor Nesto managed to thwart capture of his identity. He now lives in Kansas, with little Nestoes running around his legs, a red super hero cape in the closet, and a life-sized Bob Dole statue gracing either side of his driveway.

The last smiles before Nick took out his pocket knife. All of the later pictures involved knives at throats. Happy new year indeed!

Breakfast: Some good ol' orange juice. We ran out of mango.

Lunch: BK whopper, hold everything BUT the ketchup.

Dinner: Stocked up on groceries for the weekend. Ended up eating half the rations an hour later for dinner. Roast beef sandwich and pineapple strawberry juice!
