When A Day Feels Like A Year

I realize that it was my night to post yesterday, but due to peculiar circumstances, I was not in any position to write an entry on this beloved site. Therefore, I felt it appropriate to post now. As I sit down to begin writing, I ponder whether or not I should detail yesterday's food, which I was supposed to write about, or today's nutritious adventures. Well, I said to hell with it and decided to write about both sets, truly making this a day that feels like a year (or just two days -- whatever!).

I woke up yesterday morning at around 10:30 (and naturally, did not eat breakfast), watched The Price is Right at 11 (with the customary bowl of Cheez-Its and Capri Sun), and ate lunch shortly thereafter.

Lunch:
Leftover Colonel Taso! Truly a treat. On the side, I had a baked potato and bread and butter leftover from last night. Yummers.

Afterwards, I turned down the option floating inside my head to shower and dress in favor of playing Super Mario Sunshine (This truly has been the Semester of Mario. I think I've played almost every Mario platformer since the summer). I played for a good couple of hours, then crawled downstairs to see what Jon was doing. He was playing Mario 64 on our old N64, and I decided to lend him my talents. I played that with Jon Mayer for another couple of hours until one Fat Dan called my house at around 4:30 in the evening.

It was then that I made a concious decision to get ready for the day. Upon finishing cleaning myself up, dinner was upon us!

Dinner:
Mom cooked up some hot dogs, crispy potato slices, and some fine Caesar Salad. What truly made the hot dogs fantastic was the gourmet Danish Onions that we so conciously poured upon them. Danish Onions are tiny, crispy little onions that you pour over anything, and it makes the dish ten times better automatically. My Danish Uncle smuggles them over the border every so often.

After our fine meal, I packed my bags full of gaming accessories in preparation for Fat Dan's house. All he has is one measly Wiimote and Nunchuk! Where is all that CompTech money going? College? Pffff!

Ian and I accompany Fat Dan into his house, and we decide to cook for Fat Dan's sister, Lia. We made sirloin steaks, Peanut Butter Balls, Microwave chocolate cake, Lobster Bisque, and something made from chocolate and butter! The best part was that we didn't make any of this! Fat Dan is a party pooper!

We played Mario Strikers and Smash Bros. deep into the night, and then watched writer-less Conan O'Brien. Fat Dan then blew 5 bucks on Nicolas Cage's hit movie "Next" on demand, but he and I fell asleep very soon thereafter.

In the morning, we are greeted by the sweet image of Arnold Shwarzenneger on our television. Kindergaten Cop is an awesome movie. After rummaging through Fat Dan's things some more, I found a book with a title insinuating that days feel like entire years. I inquire about the credibility of this proclamation, to which Fat Dan replies, "When you guys are here, days do feel like years." Touche.

Lunch 2?
Well, we ordered pizza after playing 1500 more hours of Smash and Strikers.
"Have a nice day," said the flagrantly Italian delivery guy in a flagrantly Italian accent.
"You-a-too," Fat Dan replied in an awesomely mocking tone. He's getting an Italian badge for that.

I went home after pizza and more Strikers... and played more Mario Sunshine. I think I have a problem.

Dinner 2?
We went to Manny Brown's, this little tasty pub near the now deceased Clemens Market. I had French Onion Soup and a Cheeseburger! Tasty stuff.

I returned home, started writing this blog while watching Jon play Mario Galaxy (so much Mario!), and really did nothing. Wooo! I don't know how to end this, so I'll leave you all with a quote from our favorite World War II hero / paralyzed arm guy / Presidential candidate.
