Hunted

ALRIGHT ALRIGHT, I'll blog!!! Sheesh! Actually, the amount of harassment I've been getting for not blogging has been minimal if anything really. You folks need to step it up! You need to get MAD! You have to accept the food blog as a family member, and when it is ignored, you have to seek vengeance. That's why I've been testing your love for your cousin Blog, and you've all disappointed me! This was a test of the emergency blogging alert system. This is only a test.

So geez, let's see. What has been happening exactly? Hell, I don't even know! I had a 3 day weekend or so from Starbucks after another one of their crazy murder plots they pitted against me, and therefore my past week has been (almost) coffee free! ALMOST!

Classes started the other week. Did I talk about that in my last blog? I can't even remember that far back. I think the blog is dying! Soon we'll have monthly posts each about what we've eaten for the past 30 days! Good god man! This is madness!!

Well in any case, classes DID start. And even if only in the past week, they've been taking up more time than work has! I tried to group all of my classes together on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but naturally there were a few stragglers. On Monday I only have 1 class, and it's a night class. It's also boring as sin. Video Studio Production. We've been learning how to use a camera for the past 2 weeks. I'm going INSANE! It's a 4 hour class, and since it's a night class, it's filled with old people and druggies who don't really care. I swear, some of these people must be retarded. The one kid doesn't seem to have any sense of time or relation to what's being discussed in the class and has (on two separate occasions) randomly blurted out "My favorite movie is Mrs. Doubtfire." This other guy who's like 40-something feels that it is of the utmost importance that everyone in the class knows he's a clown on the side. He must have told me this fact at least 3 times.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays I have Comp and Media and Society early in the morning. We haven't done much in either of these, but in Media and Society I have my editing teacher from last semester which is awesome, but I can't see him teaching a class with real material. He had us make "tribal art" the other day as a homework assignment....yea, that was just bullshit!

I have the Art of Theatrical Cinema on Wednesday and my teacher is a doctor in Film, which I didn't think was possible. She's also absolutely insane. Now, I don't say that about teachers, but this lady is nuts. I wish I could post impersonations here on the blog (without it taking more time than writing) because you really have to see her teach to understand what I'm talking about. Let's just say that she gets very into it. On Thursdays, I have Film Production 1, where we actually use really really old film cameras. It seems interesting, although right now we're learning the same basics we're learning in my other two film classes, which are the same basics that I learned in Photography!!! UGGHHH!! It hasn't been a very exciting semester so far.

Yesterday, I actually got out of work early and thus got to school before class started, so I was in the cafeteria on my laptop killing time. This is when a horrifying thing happened. I noticed somebody watching me. He had passed by several minutes before, but it seemed like he backtracked to get a better look at what I was doing...All I could see was a big red figure and a rolly-backpack following behind him as he circled my location. I could tell I was being hunted. After seemingly passing me by at least 3 times, this person sat down at the other end of the table I was sitting at. It was at this point when I realized who it was.

Ray Cancilla.

Shit! Thankfully, I looked busy enough that I could avoid conversation for awhile. You could tell he was trying to get my attention though. He kept moving and changing seats. Slowly getting closer and closer. Closing on my position rapidly, he was moving in for the kill. I couldn't really think of a way out of this one. If I broke eye contact with my computer monitor and started putting stuff away to get ready to leave, he would take the opportunity immediately. So it was a standoff. And for a good 5-10 minutes, it remained at stalemate. He got up to "throw out his trash" once or twice, but it was really just so he could step in my line of vision. Eventually, I caved, and he pounced immediately picking up where our conversation left off a year ago when I last saw him. He told me about his mother, and how he still works at the library, and how he made movie slideshows of his favorite disney channel shows to High School the Musical songs...all stuff he's told me before. This time I actually learned that his father works at the Tastycake factory in Philly, which was new information. After him ranting on about how he wants to move up the ladder at the library, and obtain the highly sought over position of circulation desk, he showed me a CD he was listening to. The Carpenters. He gave me their history from their birth onwards and then told me to borrow their albums from him, which led into him giving me his number for the 12th time. It was a fun time.

Come to think of it, I've been running into a lot of people I never thought I'd see again. I almost feel popular. Almost. I've been starting to play Chess again too which is awesome! I'm in a class with Michelle Harven, and right afterwards we each have like an hour long break. She just learned to play chess recently, and as a result of which, she carries a chessboard around and plays everyone she talks to. So what to do in an hour long break? Damn straight we play chess. But on that note, I'm gonna go ahead and push the Publish button and then go do something else. Sorry for the late post. Hope my mother's photography has kept you occupied!

Breakfast: Poppy seed bagel with cream cheese, and coffee. MmmmMmm!
Lunch: Can't quite remember. I'm pretty sure it was something as I remember walking into the cafeteria with people to get it...
Dinner: Seeing as I just woke up, I haven't really had much drive to get dinner. I had some fries, and predict a diner trip later on tonight.

Good ol' Ray Cancilla. He probably would've circled you for the rest of the day, just waiting for you to look at him. That's frightening.
