Today started later than the past few had. Roughly around 9:30 A.M. Thursday and Friday I had woken up at 8, and even earlier on Friday, 6:40. It was painful, so sleeping in was a welcomed idea. I hopped out of bed to find my house deserted. Everyone was out food shopping, and not a moment too soon. My house runs out of food around Wednesday, so we're all always eagerly anticipating Sunday's trip to the super market.
While I waited for everyone to come back I did some more homework. I've been chipping away at my homework all week, and there was plenty to keep me occupied through the entirety of spring break. Thanks a lot Bucks County Community College.
Today I finished up my Comp 2 homework, I read some poetry. But they were enjoyable poems so it wasn't so bad. I love Robert Frost (who doesn't?) and W.B. Yeats, but today I read some new ones. Hardy, Wallace, Donne, Wright, Simpson. All unknown to me before today. Speaking of Robert Frost, I added another book to my library on Saturday, The complete poems of Robert Frost. 600 pages worth of Frost Poems. I never thought he had written that many in his time. Incredible. My library is becoming sort of extensive these days, and it gets more exciting to me as I watch it grow.
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, The Aeneid, The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin, The Brothers Karamazov, Crime and Punishment, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, The Federalist, Poems of Robert Frost, Heart of Darkness, History of Early Rome, Jane Eyre, The Last of the Mohicans, Les Miserables, Little Women, Lord Jim, Madame Bovary, Moby Dick, Paradise Lost, A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, The Prince, The Scarlet Letter, A Tale of Two Cities, The Three Musketeers, Treasure Island, Twenty-Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, War and Peace, The Way of All Flesh, Wuthering Heights, The Birds and The Frogs, The Grapes of Wrath, and Shakespeare: The Histories.
I wish I had time to read them all.
Anyway, this morning my mom brought home Crunch Berries, and I couldn't resist.
Breakfast: Crunch Berries
Then around 3, Mer came over and we decided to enjoy the nice day and head over to Core Creek Park, but not before I enjoyed some Lunch.
Lunch: Grilled Cheese Sammich
We arrived at Core Creek shortly after three and walked around the paths for a bit, and braved some thickets off to the side of the road by the lake. We got sort of lost but eventually maneuvered back to civilization using our incredible orienteering skills that we recalled from Middle School.
We stayed at Core Creek until maybe quarter past 4 and then we decided that we had to make a pit stop somewhere before she dropped me off at home to get ready for work. We hopped in the car and sped off to Flowers Mill Shopping Center where we got what we were craving. Starbucks.
Coffee Break: Each of us got a Caramel Macchiato, Mine was iced, Mer's was not.
Then it was time for work. I got there around 4:54 and clocked in, thinking it would be an easy night. It wasn't. We worked a good 45 minutes after we closed trying to make the place look somewhat acceptable. We left and I headed right over to Mers. There me, mer, and making a special guest appearance, Amy Huff, hung around and talked about random movies and such. It was a good time. We watched 1000 ways to die for awhile and then by 12 it was time to head home. And here I am, getting ready for bed. Work in the A.M., I'm gonna grab me a sammich before bed and hit the hay. Goodnight y'all.
