I did not know we formally decided to start. Pardon my lateness, as I have been quite busy as of late. Some of you may know, others may not, but I have begun the long, arduous process that is student teaching. Basically, its all of the work that comes with teaching, with none of the pay or benefits! Hooray! Though the upside of it all is that I love what I do. From the first day I stepped in front of a class of my own, I was sure, this is what I want to do, and I love every minute of it.
So that is the reassurance of my life decisions. Perhaps getting married and finding a full time job as a teacher away from retail IS possible (or just plausible) after all! Only time will tell, but I am determined to find out, taking it one day at a time.
I am teaching two classes of World Cultures (World History), and one section of Honors Modern U.S. History (Reconstruction to the Present). The kids are great, though sometimes it is a struggle to get them motivated and moving. But we persevere. As do we persevere with the food blog! A slow start, but new beginnings are a slow process at times, and now we can really (hopefully) get this ball rolling!
Here's to new beginnings, and the food blog, born a-new!
Breakfast: Nutrigrain Bar
Lunch: Peanut butter and jelly sandwich with an apple and some water
Dinner: Ham steak, mashed potatoes, and applesauce, yum.
I cooked all of last week, so my next post will recap those things, as they were much more exciting, I assure you.
Until next time, adieu.
