But tonight there will be no scripting done...for Starbucks has beaten me into the ground again! Newtown was particularly relentless this afternoon. I feel like no matter how many hundreds of drinks I made, the line just did not budge! There was no denting it! It was kind of annoying actually! But I managed to have fun, with the understanding that it was my last day for a full week!
In other news, I've hopped on the iphone bandwagon with most of the world! My other phone had been causing more problems than I can list in this blog post...turning itself off, taking a full minute to connect, freezing to name a few...so I was long overdue for a new one. And low and behold...the iphone 3s are free with a contract renewal? Say whaaaat? Okayyy...if you insist I'll take one! It's pretty fancy, and it's gonna take some getting used to, but I think I'm a fan! Mama Gillies is also the proud owner of a new iphone, but she's gonna take some more time adjusting to the touch-screen-texting than I am.
Well I think that's about all I have for today! Aside from what I ate of course!
BREAKFAST: For breakfast, I had a sausage and cheese omlette with wheat toast at State Street Kitchen, which is right down the street from Starbucks. It was a good pre-work meal. As for the coffee, I had a grande black-eye, which is fancy terms for coffee with two added shots of espresso. Hardcore caffeine!
LUNCH: An everything bagel with cream cheese! The breakfast kind of filled me up, so a light lunch was due. I paired it with an iced black tea-lemonade...which tasted strange. Oh! No wonder, we've been using coconut syrup instead of normal sweetener syrup all day! Silly us. Sorry everyone who ordered an iced tea/iced coffee/frappucino today! It was too cold for that crap anyway!
DINNER: Pizza! We ordered pizza to celebrate my last day for a week. Well...maybe it wasn't to celebrate my last day so much as it was we all wanted pizza, but so what? I'm sure I had something to do with it (/conceded). Paired that with a gingerbread syrup cream, which I recommend you all go out and try at your local Starbucks! It's pretty bangin!
