In Which Productive Procrastination is Discussed

So, as some of you have noticed, I haven't posted anything in a little while (and anything substantial in even longer a while). This was mostly because I just wasn't sure what to write about. I know, it doesn't have to be world-shattering, earth-shaking, mountain-moving stuff, but I wanted my first real post to be good! That's probably what all procrastinators say... Well, I'm happy to report that some good things came out of my absence! I've engaged in productive procrastination - I've gotten a ton of little things done rather than write a post. So here's what I've been doing since the last one:

I've done the dishes, like, four times. I hate doing the dishes, so this is a major accomplishment.

I organized the closet in the bathroom. Seriously, that shit was getting out of control.

I changed the cat litter. She was pretty happy about that.

I tried Ethiopian food. It was delicious. See that brown thing all the food's on? Edible.

I got the Oxford 12th Edition World Atlas as a late birthday present. Expect random cool facts in the future - this book is huge!

I edited and uploaded a few book reviews for the website I'm working for. Well, volunteering, but hopefully I'll meet some cool people.

I went apple picking.

I almost finished the fourth book in the Game of Thrones series. I've been reading it on my phone, but that's not as bad it sounds!

I went to a couple different bars, because I do that sometimes now.

And watched a hockey game on TV at one of them, because I do that sometimes now, too.

I co-made delicious pumpkin dip. And used my cat to warm up the cream cheese.

I saw the movie 50/50. Fantastic!

I saw The Thing. Not that bad!

I also watched the movie Page One: Inside the New York Times. What I'd give to get to work there...

I also watched The Trip. Eh.

I got my first parking ticket :) And my second :(

I bought six pounds of peanut butter.

I inherited my dad's old netbook. Watch out, local coffeeshops!

I washed, dried, and folded tens of clothings.

I wore tens more.

I finally got my cat to use the catbed we got her. And now she never leaves it.

I realized I've gone a little pet crazy. But, hey, I've never had one before so give me a break!

I discovered why all of our cups of water have been slowly emptying.

I had my phone kidnapped by Beth while I wasn't looking. When I got it back I saw a new doodling app she'd installed and found this photo in my picture folder... I can only hope it was in reference to my pink shorts.

I went to Chipotle. Thrice.

I lost (but played!) a game of Risk.

I met Tommy Wiseau at a showing of The Room. (Yeah, it happened a while ago, but I didn't really get a chance to brag about it!)

I made Ian's new author picture. And finally figured out a way to have each person's picture show up at the top of their post. So get me those pictures of you sounding out your letters! (P.S. This ok, Ian? I can also give you pupils if you want!)

And last, but not least, I read every new post on the blog and have been thrilled that it's been running so smoothly!

So, as you can see, not writing new posts has been tiring. I've accomplished a lot of other things, but I'm pooped! So don't worry, I'm back. I just have to find some bigger project to procrastinate on...
