Anybody ever hear that musical masterpiece, 'My Name is Jonas?' That song just rocks my socks and brings my mind back to its peaceful state of the times in Psychology class. As I sit here writing this post, my thoughts turn to a critical question: is it concievable that I might be sitting in the same room that Mr. Jonas lived in 15 years ago? Probably not, since I'm in a cripple dorm with my own bathroom... but I can always dream. Anyway, you're not here to listen to me ramble on about my dreams and fantasies, you're here to listen to me ramble on about food. So let's get to it.
Breakfast:
As said in my previous log, I don't eat breakfast, nor do I ever want to eat breakfast. However, for the sake of detail and accuracy, I should say that I ate half a canister of Pringles after my 8:30 class this morning, so I guess that sort of counts as breakfast.
Lunch:
I was too busy playing Metroid after class today to eat lunch, and such a decision is regretful because I love lunch. More on Metroid a bit later, though. As I was playing, I ate the rest of the batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies that my loving mother prepared for me before I left for Villanova. I also had a few squares of lucious Lindt milk chocolate, but that was the extent of my lunch today.
Dinner:
I actually have not eaten dinner yet, as it's only 4 o'clock, but I should be going soon, as I have not eaten a real meal all day. I'll be going to the Spit, as I always do, but what to get there is still floating in the air. If the deli line is short, I may consider getting a Chicken Panini. I had one of those last night, and it was one of the best Spit meals I've had so far. But if that does not work out, I'll go to Traditions and get the entree -- because I always get the entree even if it's made of ketchup core... maybe not that, but you get the idea.
Wii:
Today, I buckled down, sacrificed lunch AND a scheduled conference with a professor, all because the end of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption was in sight. The ending was incredibly strange. You travel to this retarded planet made entirely of Phazon, and your ship decides it doesn't like you anymore. Then, you lose all your energy tanks, and I mean ALL of your energy tanks, and you have this retarded health bar that makes no sense. Then after some journeying, you fight Dark Samus, who is the easiest boss in the game, and then Aurora Unit 313, who is the second easiest boss in the game. What pisses me off was that this entire Aurora thing was a blatant reference to Mother Brain, yet the words 'Mother Brain' NEVER appear in the entire game. Wasted story potential, if you ask me. Oh well. Dinner time.
Edit: I have the goods now.
Dinner #1:
For my first dinner (and yes, I mean first dinner), I had tasty beef strips with a nice, sort of sweet sauce. I had two strips of steak, to be exact. Alongside that, I had mashed potatoes topped with gravy, and a mediocre, plain roll. Dinner #1 was pretty tasty, and left me satisfied. That could have held me over until the next day, but Kris hadn't eaten yet, and was literally on his hands and knees begging me to accompany him to dinner. I said, "What the hell?" and grabbed my Wildcard. Along with Kris, I waddled on over to the Spit once more.
Dinner #2:
Upon my arrival inside the Spit, I knew what I wanted for my second dinner: a chicken panini. At Dinner #1, I requested a panini from the deli, but apparently I was too early for that particular meal. Bullshit! Professor Nesto should be able to eat whatever the hell he wants whenever he wants! He's a singer and ukulele player! He needs energy to keep up with the beat! But anywhoo, I got my chicken panini this time, and it was delicious: grilled chicken, placed on toast in melted cheese... My stomach yearns for this heartattack on a roll. I sink my teeth into the meticulously crafted chicken; my saliva pours from my glands with every chew. And before I knew it, the sandwich was gone -- gone forever until I get another one, probably tomorrow. Well, there you have it. A day that started bleakly in terms of food ended on a double bang. Good night and good luck.
-Professor Nesto
